3rd FAWM track

Thursday, February 11th, 2016

I’ve gotten behind in posting these on my blog. My third track for FAWM 2016. I swear I’ll name these soon … this one has a few layers of violin, plus Korg MS-20 mini bass, drum machine and some LPG percussion from the modular synth.

02 Violin and sequenced synths

A Minor, 4/4 time

For this track, I started with some Tangerine Dream-style sequences from modular synths. Added violin, ran that through my modular synths, mostly playing with the filter. Added another violin layer, a part that popped into my head while doing laundry.

First track for FAWM 2016

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016

My first FAWM track this year consists of violin, synth pads and sequenced synths, white noise and subtle percussion. The violin part has some long, slow glissandi similar to a pedal steel guitar, for example. The violin was recorded via pickup and run through an analog delay pedal as well.

This is untitled for now, I need to come up with some kind of naming scheme.
