FAWM 2019

Thursday, February 28th, 2019

Well, it’s February (almost over now, I know), so I am in the midst of recording another album. Actually at this point I have reached 14 songs, but I still have 1 or 2 left to go.

This year, I’ve rented a viola and my album revolves around that.

Here’s the first song I recorded, “Dividing Surfaces.” This features the viola (both dry and processed by modular synth) and a couple synth drones/layers from the Soma Lyra 8.

3rd FAWM track

I’ve gotten behind in posting these on my blog. My third track for FAWM 2016. I swear I’ll name these soon … this one has a few layers of violin, plus Korg MS-20 mini bass, drum machine and some LPG percussion from the modular synth.

A Minor, 4/4 time

For this track, I started with some Tangerine Dream-style sequences from modular synths. Added violin, ran that through my modular synths, mostly playing with the filter. Added another violin layer, a part that popped into my head while doing laundry.
