Bloomington Burlesque Brigade Art School

Here’s a rather safe image to give you a chance to close the window if need be.
The local burlesque group, known as the Bloomington Burlesque Brigade, had an “Art School” event back in March, where they invited artists to draw/paint/photograph the performers. I attended. It was a lot of fun, and the models were all very beautiful. This was a different type of photography than I’m used to doing, but I definitely enjoyed it.
The setting as Rachel’s Cafe, a local coffee house/cafe/beer stop. For photography, it wasn’t really ideal; not enough light, and there were some distracting backgrounds. Some of the scenes they set up worked better than others for me, also.
I got some good shots, and certainly learned a thing or two in the process. Here are some of my shots.
They have another “art school” event coming up soon. I just missed their show this weekend, due to having too many projects to work on. I hope to do some more shooting with them soon, one way or another.

Incredible! I have looked through the pictures twice and they have told me a different story both times. I love that about photography. Good work Michael.

Art eh? Assuming the wife is very supportive. No wonder you don’t have time for epic rides. You’ve found other ways to fill your time. Ja ja ja, as the Spanish would say.

Thanks, guys. Fun stuff.
Tim: Yes, the wife was there, and took some excellent shots herself!
