A few goals for 2010
Wednesday, January 13th, 2010A little late, perhaps, but here are some cycling-related goals for 2010.
- Ride 3000 miles. This should be very doable, in fact I hope to end up with a bunch more, but I don’t want to ride less.
- Ride a century (100 miles in one ride). I’ve been talking about this for far too long, it’s time to step up and do it.
- Do at least three overnight bike camping trips (S24Os).
- Do at least one longer bicycle tour, two nights or longer.
- Ride my bicycle in at least two states other than Indiana. North Carolina will be one, I’m not sure about the other one yet.
- Explore new roads and trails.
- Continue 100% bicycle commuting.
I do have other goals, not related to cycling, I won’t list them here, except to say that I intend to spend more time on some of my other hobbies, which have been neglected the past couple of years (music, photography of a non-cycling nature).

You are an inspiration! Now I am seriously considering bike commuting. I live off 446 and work on campus, so it would be doable…

Oh, my goodness! I should have known it – photography. Hopefully, you’re not an old camera freak like CycleDog, Agent of Satan! Apertome – is that some sort of Biblical anagram?

Gina: Thanks, I hope you will try it … Let me know how it goes!
Steve: Actually, yes, I love old cameras. Haven’t had much time to mess with them recently, but I have a stash of them in a drawer.
Apertome is not a word of any kind, a made-up name, which was intended to be used for my music. Shortly thereafter I stopped working on music, but I hope to pick it up again soon …

Well, if you want to ride in Colorado, you guys are always welcome to bunk at the Love Shack. (Maybe I’ll have bathroom redone, by then!)
