Just got back from an 80-miler, which was my longest of the season. That said, I climbed "only" 2800ft in those 80 and I come to read your account of a 60-miler with- to me- an astounding 5000ft+ of climbing! That's a bear. And on top of that, you seemed to encounter lots of mixed-terrain. Impressive all round. And a great ride report.

OK, having read through the description of the ride and looking more closely at the photos, I know exactly the route you took along the Susquehanna. I've done that many times myself, but never on a bike (yes, I've driven a car on that road between Falls and Ransom, and I believe I did it before ANY of it was paved).

Anyway, glad I found your blog. Happy riding (and hoppy-beverage-drinking), camping, hiking, etc. I envy that you have all that beauty in your backyard.

Wow, I just scanned this really quickly, but it makes me wish I was there in NEPA. It's such beautiful country and I'm missing it like crazy right now. Summer is probably when it's at its most beautiful. Fortunately I'll be there for a quick visit in a couple of weeks. Probably no time to ride my bike, though.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Now I'll go back and read the description more thoroughly.
