I should’ve ridden

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

This morning has been weird. There was rain in the forecast for today, but it wasn’t raining when I was getting dressed, so I figured I’d ride to work in my work clothes. I’ve been doing this recently since temperatures have been mild, and it’s very convenient. Unfortunately the minute I stepped out the door, it started raining pretty hard. Generally if it’s raining I’ll still ride, but in different clothes. I didn’t want to take the time to change my clothes, so I made a last-minute decision to drive to work instead.

Strangely enough, within a few blocks of my house, the rain stopped and didn’t start back up again until after I got to work. I should’ve ridden.

weather is doing the same thing here, it’s perfect outside but the weatherman (who is a filthy manwhore liar) said it would rain

No rain here, but the 35 to 40 mph winds make up for it. I was off work today, so I didn’t commute in it, but the trip to the coffee shop and back was a long, gusty five miles!

Thanks for the kind words on my May One post, BTW.

Whenever I bail on a ride, I often feel the same way. “Should have ridden” can cause me regret the rest of the day.

There will be plenty more days to ride. Forgetaboutit.

You can never believe the weathermen - or the clouds - these days. We were supposed to have sunny skies on Saturday, but no luck with that until the late afternoon (pretty much the OPPOSITE of the forecast).
