Brown County Ride, Lake Lemon Photography

Sunday, November 26th, 2006

Dave and I rode at Brown County again today, and the trails were in much better condition. There were still a few muddy spots, most notably the small section of trail that goes from the parking lot into the woods, but overall, everything was in great shape.

I definitely felt like my riding improved by riding at Versailles. The tight, twisty trails there helped improve my cornering skills, even by riding there just once. I did a lot better than I’ve done in the past at cornering on both the North Tower Loop and The Aynes Loop. I also did a better job of using momentum to my advantage. We were just flying over the trails today! It felt great to get out and ride and really kick some ass. Of course, it helps immensely that it wasn’t dark or muddy, like it has been almost every other time I’ve ridden recently.

Sarah and I went to Lake Lemon for a while after my bike ride, and took some more photos. I’ll have to post those photos later. It was great to be outside and in a beautiful place together. I doubt we’ll see much weather this great until spring.
