Gallium

Saturday, February 18th, 2006

Gallium is a metal that is liquid at near room temperature — it will melt in your hand — which is exactly what I felt this song was doing, becoming fluid and out of my control. Gallium is used in mirrors and integrated circuits, among other things.

In this song, Reaktor provides the main pad sound. The other synths are my Evolver, and I also processed the pads with the Evolver to get some semi-glitchy sounds. The beats are Reason.
