Experimental music, photography, and adventures

I’ve completed my fifth FAWM song, “Silver.” I used some sounds of water dripping from a gutter to the ground in my apartment complex after a rain. I recorded those sounds with my minidisc recorder back in July, but hadn’t had a chance to use them yet. At that time, I noticed that water was dripping from the gutter at a constant rate, which reminded me of a typical 4-on-the-floor beat. I processed that sound in various ways, and all the beats are from the rain sounds.

I call the track “Silver” because silver is used for seeding clouds — that is, silver (and other) compounds are injected into clouds to cause it to rain.

Listen to Silver.
